Lumen

A small studio that makes glass lamps by hand needed a site as quiet as its pieces. We built a slow, image-first catalogue where each lamp gets one page and one honest photograph.

Overview

Lumen Studio blows every lamp by hand, so no two are quite alike. The old shop hid that behind a grid of tiny thumbnails and a cart that came first.

Approach

One lamp per page, one honest photograph in daylight and one at dusk, and a short note from the person who made it. The cart waits until you have read the note.

Results

The catalogue reads slower and sells better: people stay with a piece before they buy it, and fewer lamps come back.
